Eric Stoen

Eric Stoen is a travel writer and photographer based in California. He’s lived in Italy, Norway, Germany and the US and traveled to 80+ countries on 7 continents. Eric is passionate about the benefits of family travel and lets each of his three kids (7, 9 and 11) choose any destination in the world every year for a one-on-one trip with him. His family also travels internationally during school breaks. His kids have been to over 40 countries.

In 2017 Eric was named the #4 Travel Influencer in the world by Forbes magazine. He’s won Conde Nast Traveler’s Photo of the Year award and a NATJA award for family travel writing. He is an ambassador for AFAR, Travelocity and Universal Orlando, and has a following of 180,000 on social media. His writing and photography have been featured by cntraveler.com, Yahoo Travel, Lonely Planet, Travelocity, wendyperrin.com and Outdoor Families Magazine. He has worked on brand campaigns for Mastercard, Lonely Planet Kids, Wyndham Rewards, Kammok, Visit Montana, Westin, and others.

Eric has a BA from Pepperdine University in Malibu, California and an MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management in Phoenix, Arizona.
