As editor of Pit Stops for Kids, Amy Whitley works with top family travel destinations and product brands across the US and internationally. Pit Stops for Kids consistently wins awards from Circle of Moms (Top 25 Travel Blog), Red Tricycle (Travel Blog We Love), and Babble (Top 10 Travel Blog), and was recently named a top 10 travel site by Travel Age West.

As editorial and sponsorship manager at Trekaroo, Amy has run successful brand campaigns across a variety of travel themes including ski travel, camping, and adventure travel. She oversees travel campaigns for industry brand sponsors ranging from Vail Resorts to KOA to Cooper Tire.

Amy has been called upon as an expert on family travel, appearing in publications ranging from the Wall Street Journal to USA Today, as well as local publications and radio. She writes regularly for Huffington Post Travel, US News and World Report travel section, Travel Age West, and Snow.com.

Throughout 2012-2013, Amy partnered with Expedia.com in both their ‘Road Trips’ and ‘Kids in the City’ campaigns, for which she hosted seven videos and wrote five travel stories. Amy is also a select family blogger for Preferred Hotels Group, syndicating family travel blog posts for their Preferred Family blog.

In 2014, Amy became the Southern Oregon ambassador for Travel Oregon, where she plans Oregon-based itineraries and serves as a destination expert. She has been a two-time ambassador for Aventura Clothing (2014 and 2015) and is currently a 2015 ambassador for Oboz Footwear.

In the outdoor travel arena, Amy is a gear reviewer for Practical Travel Gear, and wrote throughout 2013-15 as a family ski expert for Snow.com. Throughout 2014, Amy worked as the social media advisor at EpicMoms for Vail Resorts. She currently works as a travel expert for VacationRoost and Mountain Reservations. Amy is a regular columnist with OutdoorsNW Magazine, penning NWKids.

In the summer of 2013, she was hired by Wyoming Office of Tourism for an exclusive writing contract, and has since partnered with Visit Idaho and Go Hawaii. Amy writes as a freelance author for O.A.R.S. River Currents magazine and blog. She is a current member of SATW.

Pit Stops for Kids has been selected as a press representative at resorts and hotels, city CVBs, theme parks, and cruise lines from 2011 to present.
