As a native of Jacksonville, Florida, I am a former travel public relations pro turned freelance travel writer and blogger and a member of the Society of American Travel Writers.
 
I share my own travel stories at CarrieOnTravel.com and I’ve written content for Carnival Cruise Line, VISIT FLORIDA and the Virgin Atlantic Airlines blog. My work has also appeared in the AJC.com, Orbitz.com, Florida Times-Union, First Coast Magazine, USA Today Travel, Parenting.com, WHERE Magazine, VISIT FLORIDA Magazine and other publications. 
 
For two years, I also served as the VISIT FLORIDA Family Insider traveling the state with my family exploring destinations and sharing my adventures with their online audience creating digital content. Before my freelancing career, I worked full-time at Visit Jacksonville (FL) for seven years handling leisure media relations.
