2 Moms Travel was launched after friends and family wanted more information about our family’s travels. Traveling as two moms and two adventurous young kids, we are not afraid to step out of our comfort zone and get our passports dirty. Yes, same-sex families can enjoy the same level of adventure and fun as any other family. Admittedly, there can be an awkward moment or two when we describe our family unit especially overseas, but love and a relaxed attitude alongside a healthy dose of humor almost always trumps any potential negativity.

Lara is the main writer & editor for 2 Moms Travel with photography input from the whole family. She is always seeking ways to contribute to her site and keep content fresh, informative and exciting. 2 Moms Travel has become a trusted travel source for the LGBT parenting community and has won recognition as a go-to site for not only family travel but lifestyle tips as well. Our website has been promoted not only on various LGBT websites, but numerous other family travel websites. We are dipping our toes in videography and the kids enjoy getting in front of the camera to show the world what they love about the places we visit. Lara is also excited to be going on her third year as a brand ambassador for Hilton Hotels. Their family oriented travel website, hiltonmomvoyage.com, offers tips and recommendations for world-wide family travel.

In Lara’s spare time, she is always looking for travel deals so the family can continue to get out and explore. She also is very involved in the local community and sings with the Missoula Symphony Chorale, is on the board of the Missoula Art Museum and just recently stepped down after 8-years on the Missoula Symphony Association board. She is also a realtor with a local real estate company that seeks out community based projects and involvement.
