Sara Wellensiek

Sara is a freelance writer, photographer, and social media influencer (with a social following over 120,000) based in Phoenix, Arizona. As a former high school science teacher, Sara is an expert at sharing knowledge, ideas and tips. In 2010, she created the family lifestyle site, Mom Endeavors, to share helpful information and inspiring ideas with other parents. Family travel is a key focus on the site.

Sara developed a deep love of travel while in high school on a musical performance tour of Europe with the Arizona Ambassadors of Music. She then went on to study abroad at Oxford during college. Over the years, that wanderlust has led to visits to over 14 different international destinations and countless trips throughout the United States.
With three young boys in tow now, Sara is passionate about family travel. She is a firm believer in the educational value of travel for kids and the richness that travel experiences add to our lives. Whether it’s short day trips exploring the diverse ecosystems in their home state of Arizona or big vacations to exotic, international destinations, Sara is always ready for their next family travel adventure.

Sara has extensive experience working with brands and CVB partners in varied capacities, including content creation, social media campaigns, and even influencer campaign management.
