FTA Spotlight Shifts Its Focus to Family Travel and Nature’s Nurture

At the current stage of our FTA Spotlight: Re/Defining Family campaign (download overview) we are searching for great resources about Family Travel and Nature’s Nurture.

FTA Spotlight

The youth of today devote an average of 53 hours a week to entertainment media. Many other elements as well combine to keep kids inside. So it's no surprise that the natural world feels a little “unnatural.” All the more reason to make a nature-based family holiday a top priority.

Do you have strong feelings about this? We want to hear from you!

FTA Is Social - Share with Us

We’re busy on social media sharing about family travel. Join the conversation on Facebook (/familytravelassociation) and Twitter (@FamilyTravAssoc) and be sure to use the #familytravel hashtag!

Did you miss last week’s #TWChats Twitter chat about family travel, led by Family Getaways and co-hosted by us? Here’s a great summary.

C Lazy U Ranch
C Lazy U Ranch
"We joined the FTA because the ranch has been providing luxury family vacations for almost a century. The ranch is an inclusive family destination experience, where each member of the family is sure to find something enjoyable, from horseback riding and Orvis-endorsed fly fishing to a fully supervised kids program or simply relaxing at the spa or pool."
– Brady Johnson, Director of Sales and Marketing
Echo Valley Ranch & Spa
Echo Valley Ranch & Spa
"We joined the FTA because we believe that a vacation in Echo Valley lets families reconnect in a unique way. It’s choosing real over digital. The whole family will find it easy to start looking up, at each other, as opposed to looking down on their digital devices, and truly experience their vacation together."
– Norm Dove, Owner
Focus Ranch

"As members of the FTA we embrace a shared philosophy that family vacations offer great learning experiences and the opportunity to grow together rather than apart. The memories created will be the glue that bonds relationships for a lifetime."
– Maureen Reidy, Owner
Geronimo Trail Guest Ranch

"Traveling as a family gives you such important time to reconnect and spend time together, which may not be possible during everyone's busy daily lives. Some of our best memories are from family vacations and a visit to a guest ranch will create memories to last a lifetime!"
– Meris & Seth Stout, Owners and Hosts
Triple J Wilderness Ranch

"We provide a place for families to slow down and escape the hectic pace of life. Getting outside to experience spectacular nature together, laughing and sharing memories – it’s a gift your children will always remember."

"We believe that families spending time together, traveling and enjoying life together, can transform that family into something greater than it is. Memories of children on vacation last for generations and we want to help build great memories for those children. That is why we support the FTA."
– Tim Bishop, Owner
Rainbow Trout Ranch
Rainbow Trout Ranch
"We have been looking for a way to promote the beauty of a guest ranch family vacation. We are especially interested in connecting with young adults and children in the teenage and younger range, and exposing them to the cowboy traditions and lifestyle that were common on television 35 years ago. Guest ranching is a way to reconnect… both with family and with the generations that came before."
– Doug Van Berkum, Owner
Tanque Verde Ranch
Tanque Verde Ranch
"We joined the FTA because we strive to bring families together to give them education and unforgettable experiences. We have activities for every member of your family: spa, horseback riding, Kids Club and plenty more. Make your next family trip a traditional Western experience."
