As the travel industry reawakens following a period of historic retrenchment, IWorld of Travel anticipates renewed growth spurred by pent-up demand. Poised for success in the changing environment, the company is adding a dynamic personality to its leadership team.
Alida Paljevic brings more than two decades of experience in the travel industry with deep expertise in Central and Eastern Europe as well as all the Mediterranean countries.
Paljevic will be developing a new product line publishing soon—a unique set of small group (14 pax), fixed-date, guided tours in Europe and Central America. She will also look to expand IWorld of Travel with the opening of an international office in London in mid to late 2021, under its affiliate Gelber’s Way, to focus on service and direct contracts in Europe. Gelber’s Way also operates in the U.S., Peru, Turkey, and Israel.
“Alida’s incredible charisma, professionalism, and entrepreneurial talents are uniquely suited to growing our business. We are thrilled to welcome such a resourceful, strategic, and energetic executive,” said Michael Gelber, IWorld of Travel’s Chief Executive Officer & Chairman of the Board.
Originally from Croatia, Paljevic lived in Italy nine years and managed tours throughout Europe working for various tour operators and travel agencies. In 2016, she was chosen by Adriatica Net, the leading travel corporation in the Adriatic region, to relocate to its Fort Lauderdale, Florida office. Within a year she launched and headed the successful U.S. branch of Atlas, the largest Croatian DMC, developing strong B2B sales and brand awareness in the American market. Paljevic is fluent in English, Italian, and Croatian.
“IWorld of Travel is my perfect new home where I can unleash my creative ideas for traveling in a different, better way. I look forward to joining such an energetic team and putting my extensive networking skills and industry knowledge to work,” said Alida Paljevic.
