Stuart, FL June 24 2020 – Big Five Tours & Expeditions’ Live with Five Jr allows children the opportunity to ride along in real time with one of its in-country partners. The idea behind Live with Five Jr is to provide an interactive experience that allows children to personally connect with a destination through a unique, role play gaming-style environment.
Through Live with Five Jr, they direct the movements of the in-country guide through a series of activities in real time by answering questions and advancing through levels. Their choices have a direct impact on the course and outcome of the experience.
“There was such a positive response to our Live with Five for our partners that it seemed natural to expand it to include Live with Five Jr for families, who make up one in every three Big Five travelers,” said Ashish Sanghrajka, president of Big Five.
The first episode of Live with Five Jr will debut in early July in Colombia with Big Five’s partner and professional guide Abraham Dau, who is eager to take children on the virtual ride along to see humanitarian work in action such as delivering needed food and supplies.
In addition to impacting the actual ride along experience, Live with Five Jr can also serve as a test drive, a glimpse into the actual experience a family can expect before they ever leave home.
“This is the natural progression for us in our ongoing focus on families that began with our Precious Journeys® and Precious Journeys® College Edition journeys,” added Sanghrajka.
Precious Journeys® introduced younger children to new places, people and experiences such as a hands-on peanut butter workshop in Guatemala while Precious Journeys® College Edition presented young adults with opportunities to investigate more complex interests such as the global art form of graffiti as expressed in Buenos Aires, Bogota and elsewhere; and on a multi-day trek walk to connect with Australia’s amazing wilderness.
Live with Five Jr provides kids with another opportunity to engage with people and places in real time. Big Five will be rolling out other destinations soon.
