Carrick Buss

Carrie and Carrick Buss are travel bloggers currently living in Tulsa, OK. Travelling on school breaks with their children (9 & 11), the Buss’ can be found anywhere from a Disney park to skiing the Japanese Alps. They began travelling internationally with their children in 2014 by leveraging airline miles and hotel points. They started the blog in 2016 to teach other parents how to do the same, and to inspire them to get out and see the world with their kids.
In addition to travelling, they stay busy with school activities, sports, Boy Scouts, and dance. In ‘16/’17, the Buss family will be taking advantage of Every Kid in a Park and promoting and celebrating the centennial of the U.S. National Park Service.

Carrie graduated from Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, OK with a BS in secondary English Ed. and holds a Masters of Literature from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, OK. She also holds a library media certificate from Oklahoma State University. She currently works as an elementary library media specialist. She is chief bag packer, kid wrangler, and blog contributor.

Carrick holds a BA in Music from Oklahoma State University. In addition to contributing to the blog, he manages the technical aspects and some of the social media. He currently works as a senior network engineer for a private company in Tulsa. He’s also the family travel hacker and trip planner.
