Cortney Fries

Cortney Fries is an award-winning Chicago freelance writer with two elementary school-aged children. Her love of travel was ignited as a young girl boating with her grandfather in Saugatuck, Michigan. Quarterly trips were a must when aligning on life priorities with her husband. So far, her family has placed many stars on their family travel map, and they look forward to expanding to further destinations.

Cortney regularly writes for Family Vacation Critic and Chicago Parent Magazine. AAA, Redbook and Chicken Soup for the Soul have also published her work. Cortney savors learning and experiencing new adventures, especially with the ones she loves.
