Nancy is the Founder & Managing Editor of the Family Travel Network and President of Beacon Group Holdings, Inc., a diversified holding company that has operated businesses in the travel and publishing fields since 1988. The Family Travel Network first launched in partnership with America Online in 1995 and has served the needs of millions of family and multigenerational vacationers traveling across the country and around the globe.

As an award-winning writer and editor, Nancy has served as a family travel expert guest on television, from local stations to The TODAY Show, CNN and NBC News, as well as on dozens of travel radio shows. Nancy’s articles and insights on travel have been featured in leading media such as USA TODAY, Los Angeles Times, Businessweek, Chicago Tribune, National Geographic Traveler, American Way, The Washington Post, Redbook, Forbes, Family Circle, FamilyFun,Kansas City Star, Good Housekeeping, Newsday, New York Daily News, Leisure Group Travel, Courier, Reunions Workbook, Cruise Travel Magazine, Travel Weekly, TravelAge West,Travelocity, Real Simple, Parents Magazine, Travel Channel and many other publications.

Nancy is a frequent speaker at travel industry conventions, conferences and events. She has presented multiple times at Seatrade Cruise Global, NTA’s Travel Exchange, the ETC Conference and the Dude Ranchers’ Association Convention. Nancy also produces freelance articles for a variety of publications.

Nancy Schretter received her MBA from the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business and graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. degree from Wellesley College. She served as Vice President of Marketing for the Overseas Private Investment Corporation and Executive Vice President of a leading Washington, DC marketing consulting firm. With over a decade spent advising major corporations, Nancy consults with companies and organizations in the travel industry to help them tap emerging trends, develop new products and services, and improve their strategies and marketing efforts. She is also the Founder of Together for Good, a philanthropic organization that promotes giving back as part of the travel experience.

Nancy has two daughters and has been traveling with her family since her children were four months old, both domestically and around the globe.
