The heart of the Lazy L&B Ranch is its unsurpassed horseback riding program and there’s no better way to explore the spectacular, untouched landscape surrounding our beautiful Wyoming dude ranch. We are surrounded by 80,000 acres of wildlife reserve, so you will have the chance to see all kinds of wildlife. You’ll never ride the same trail twice, whether it’s the Shoshone Forest, red sand draws, cottonwood-lined rivers, mountain meadows or high desert. We ride everyday and cater to all abilities. We keep groups small and like to spread out where the terrain allows. Whether it be grooming, tacking up or feeding the horses, you’re welcome to participate as much or as little as you like.
Wyoming fly-fishing at the Lazy L&B Ranch and the Upper Wind River area is every bit as good as the famous waters of the nearby Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks. The clear waters that flow are home to Rainbow, Cutthroat and Brown Trout and in this part of Wyoming, the fish are still eager to take a fly and remind you why fishing here is such a popular activity.
In addition to the great riding and fishing there are other activities such as campfires, roping clinics, rifle range, wonderful hiking and swimming in the pool or river.
Why the Lazy L&B Ranch is great for Families
The Lazy L&B kid’s program is a well-crafted program that creates opportunities for your kids to be independent and have fun with the other guests while still enjoying family time too.
Most days the kids and teens ride in groups of similar age and ability but there are opportunities to ride as a family too. Other activities include swimming in the pool or river, roping and fly-fishing clinics, rifle range (12 and older), the petting zoo and simply roaming around the ranch making their own fun.
On Sunday night the children eat together with a couple of our wranglers so they have a chance to start to get to know each other. They have a tour of the ranch, safety demonstration, push the horses back from pasture and play games. On Thursday the children have a campfire cookout.
If you have been thinking of visiting a guest ranch in Wyoming, you will not find a better place to stay than the Lazy L&B Ranch.
