The FTA Finds Its Way into Many Types of Media

With the launch of our new content-rich and consumer-facing website, we've started attracting a lot more attention. We're working hard to push out the word of both what we're doing and what we stand for, and the response we've been receiving from all quarters — travelers, media and fellow family-travel industry representatives — has been very reassuring.

"You've tapped a deep vein," one person told us. "You're filling one of those vacuums that no one really knows is there until attention is drawn to it," said another. Others widen their eyes and nod enthusiastically when we describe what's what.

So if you haven't yet, please stop by our website and then tell us what you think! Also be sure to visit our new Facebook page and follow us on Twitter for plenty of news about family travel!

They presented information from the 2014 TMS Family Travel Summit (the 2015 sitting of which begins today in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico). Who Are Our Newest Members?

Visit Maui
Maui, Molokaʻi and Lānaʻi
"Nearly two decades ago, Maui created a PR campaign that identified and pursued the family travel market. The main objective was to increase visitor stats by sharing Maui’s unforgettable discoveries and inspire visits to The Valley Isle. In 1998, 'Maui Loves Kids!' was born. While we successfully educated consumers (via travel media) about the positive impacts of family travel, we found a “national voice” was conspicuously missing. At long last, we believe the Family Travel Association will fill that void. While we look forward to further promoting Maui (and our sister islands Molokaʻi and Lānaʻi), we also anticipate the collaborative partnerships FTA will provide with other world class destinations and organizations."
– Keliʻi Brown, Director, Public Relations & Promotions, Maui Visitors and Convention Bureau (Maui, Molokaʻi and Lānaʻi)
Generations Vacation
Generations Vacation
"Multigenerational travel became a necessity for our family of six living hundreds of miles from other family as a way to connect and create memories while expanding our horizons. Naturally, our vacations had to appeal to every member of the family, from the young to the young-at-heart. I enjoyed the challenge of planning these trips so much that Generations Vacation was born. I believe the trend in multigenerational travel is poised for growth, and Generations Vacation's goal is to inspire, customize, and simplify travel for every generation. We feel privileged to be associated with Family Travel Association."
– Tracey Szakal, Owner, Generations Vacation
