Social media is one of the key ways FTA members stay in touch with each other and their followers. In 2019, we will continue to expand platforms on Facebook and Instagram for our members, so you can demonstrate your talent and offerings to our members.
That’s why, this year, we’re looking for social media-ready photos, content and stories specific for the Family Travel Association’s audience. That’s right. We want you to take over the content for our Facebook and Instagram handles for one or more days, tied into your participation in a professional or personal event (e.g. an industry FAM trip you’re hosting or participating in, a personal trip, conference speech/attendance, etc.).
We ask that you personalize your posts as much as possible, and use the hashtag #FTAsocialtakeover, and we’ll support you through multi-channel promotions through the FTA member newsletter and website.
FTA Social Media Takeovers are available on a first-come-first-serve basis, to any member requesting time on our annual social media calendar. Simply email Communications Director Richard D’Ambrosio at firstname.lastname@example.org, including the dates that you are traveling, the nature of the trip, and whether you want to post on your own while traveling, or have us schedule posts for you during the trip or after you return. (A call following up on your email may be required to clarify and finalize details and confirm participation.)
The FTA asks for at least two weeks’ notice so we can schedule you in and properly promote your “Takeover” in advance. Only one FTA member will appear on any given day. Depending on your content and space availability, the FTA will determine with you the optimal number of posts per day for each platform.
So look at your 2019 calendar, think about your goals, your company’s goals, and where you are traveling, and let’s talk about promoting you more on the FTA’s social platforms.
