Family Travel Association Media Famil in Fiji
The FTA is pleased to provide our media members the opportunity to participate in a 2024 Media Press Trip to Fiji.
The press trip will take place May 10 – 16, 2024.
Please note, due to crossing the international date line when traveling to Fiji from the US, your flight will depart late in the evening of May 8th from LAX.
Interested FTA members can apply by filling out the application below. Once completed, email your application to info@Familytravel.org. All applicants must be received no later than February 29th 2024. The FTA will review applications to ensure all requirements are met and will then forward the applications to Tourism Fiji. Tourism Fiji will determine Media Press Trip participation, and selected media members will be notified of selection by March 15, 2024.
OVERVIEW:
With 333 islands, Fiji is known for its white-sand beaches, crystal-clear turquoise water, and famously friendly locals. Families have been flocking to Fiji for years to enjoy the incredible family-friendly resorts with endless activities, excellent Kids Clubs complete with ‘Bula Buddies’ and educational programs to inspire the youth. ITINERARY:
Selected media will be experiencing some of the best family-friendly resorts and activities that Fiji has to offer over the course of the 6-night trip, May 10-16, 2024. Please find a tentative itinerary below.

May 10 –12: Shangri-la Yanuca Island Fiji
About: On land, families can enjoy three pools, a 9-hole Peter Thompson designed executive golf course, mini-golf course, three tennis courts, gymnasium and our Marau cultural village. For those that want to spend their days out on the water, our sea sports centre offers something for everyone. Our lagoon is home to Fiji’s largest inflatable water park which is perfect for the kids, or jump on a jetski for more action. If you’re after a slower pace grab a snorkel or kayak to explore the sea-life. There’s more that you can do while on the island.
May 12-14: Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort

May 14-16: Castaway Island, Fiji

Four FTA media members will be selected to participate on the Tourism Fiji FAM and Tourism Fiji will be selecting those participants from the applications submitted.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Applicants must be a current FTA Media Member to apply and a current FTA media member through the end date of the trip.
- All applicant’s must fill out the application in full and submit it to the FTA no later than February 29th.
- If selected, the applicant will make their own non-covered transportation arrangements to arrive at LAX airport. Transportation to Fiji and during the stay will be provided from LAX. Note: Due to crossing the international date line when traveling to Fiji from the US, your flight will depart late in the evening of May 8th from LAX.
- As Tourism Fiji is only able to accommodate a very small group of media, Tourism Fiji is asking that you please confirm a minimum of 1 family travel-related story in a national or significant regional consumer travel/family/lifestyle publication prior to the trip. Tourism Fiji acknowledges this is not always possible, therefore we will also consider situations with strong editor interest.
- Selected applicants will be required to sign a waiver of liability with Tourism Fiji.
