Amazing Ecuador was founded by Paúl Peralvo and Belén Sandoval out of a love for their beautiful country.
This husband and wife duo went to school for ecotourism and tourism business administration respectively, and have joined forces (along with their daughters) to guide other families and groups through the nature and culture of Ecuador.
We talked with Peralvo about what this diverse landscape—from the Galápagos Islands to the Andes and the Amazon—has to offer, and what he’s looking forward to in 2024.
How did Amazing Ecuador begin?
As a co-founder of Amazing Ecuador, alongside my wife Belen and our daughters Victoria and Paula, our journey began with a desire to share Ecuador’s beauty. We aimed for authentic experiences, focusing on safety and sustainability. Our personalized trips reflect our passion for real connections and responsible tourism, tailored to showcase the diverse essence of Ecuador.

Family travel is important to us because it creates lifelong memories, just as my parents did with me. As parents ourselves, we believe in the power of shared experiences to strengthen family bonds and shape our children’s perspectives. Traveling together allows us to create cherished moments that will last a lifetime, fostering a deeper connection and understanding of the world around us. It’s about building a legacy of unforgettable adventures and instilling a love for exploration that will stay with our family for generations to come.

People don’t realize that Ecuador is more than just its famous markets and the Galápagos Islands. Ecuador is like a mini version of all of South America rolled into one! With four totally different regions to explore – from the cool Andes to the wild Amazon, the sunny coast, and those amazing Galápagos – there’s something for every family to enjoy. Ecuador’s full of surprises just waiting to be discovered!

We’re feeling excited and optimistic about family travel.
